Now I hate to be vulgar, really I do. Especially when there's the chance that I'll be misunderstood but c'mon! What is THIS?!?! The Schick Quattro Trim Style for Women, also known as the "Hedge Clipper" for short (???) --- and no, let's not even try and sugar-coat it now! Look at them trying to be slick by using low growing trees! I personally think they should have just gone all the way and made them bushes! LOL. I'm not at all offended, just wondering if anyone else has taken notice of the "unkept trees" magically shrinking into nice lil groin shaped ... plants. :)
P.S. I'd also LOVE to know who originally came up with this idea (male or female) and the chain of command it went through to make it onto our tv screens. Just curious.
First!!!
ReplyDeleteActually, it could have been worse. :) It's sort of low key until you get it. Took me a little bit. But when you get it, it's kinda embarrassing. Especially when there are men in the room and they get it....
Yes Angel, you're absolutely right, it COULD have been worse. I'm shuddering at the thought of it right now ... but I digress. The minds behind this one knew to incorporate the "plant life" in a smooth and obscure kind of way so that it wouldn't be in your face (aka, offensive). If anything, they wanted it to be subliminal and at most, have a "ARE YOU SERIOUS??? LMAO" kind of reaction.
ReplyDeleteAs for being embarrassed, don't be! Embrace your bush or lack there of... and think of Schick the next time you need a trim!! LOL
Aaaand now I'm shuddering again ... this blog will make me think twice about what I post in the future lol.
Ok, I'm done laughing and now I have to ask: why is Toys R Us is a label for this!? :D
ReplyDeleteI am ssssooooo trying to find where and how I did that!! lol, I remember vaguely but can't seem to get back to it to fix it just yet!! lol
ReplyDeleteLOL I noticed the same thing when I first saw that commercial. I sat there like "I can't believe they just did that!"
ReplyDeleteyou wanna know my favorite part of the commercial? the fact that each little tree is groomed into a different shape...i suppose in direct correlation to the personal preference of the girl passing by the tree? LOL..i love it, i do! and the song is catchy too!!
ReplyDeleteC Lu!!! Thank you for mentioning two very important things! I believe you may be correct on the "different woman, different bush" theory but is it just me or is it when the two ladies meet in front of the building, the one on the right gets a cone-shape as does the final lady coming out of the shower in the end? Are they the same lady or did we just run out of shapes? Pentagons no good?
ReplyDeleteAnd I happen to think that music is HYPNOTIZING! Part of the reason we're lulled to sleep at first before coming to the realization of what we're really looking at!!
lolol, excellent point. I really didn't notice it too much behind the music. I had to replay once more. lol, but I agree, they may as well just used a bush.
